How do I build a custom remote for a Modbus device in Easy Modbus?
Open a device, tap the menu and choose Custom Remote, then Edit and Add Control. Pick one of the device's saved readings, choose what kind of control it should be — a readout, a setpoint with minus and plus, an on/off toggle, a button, a multi-state picker, or a Restore button that puts the register back to what it was — and it appears on a grid. Drag to arrange, tap to rename or recolour, tap Done. The remote is free and it stays.
Build the readings first
A remote's controls are made from the device's saved readings — the ones you named in Easy mode or the browser. If the reading does not exist yet, add it first (see how to use Easy Modbus). A control keeps a copy of its reading's settings, so editing the reading later updates the control, and deleting the reading does not break it.
Adding and arranging
Open the device, menu → Custom Remote, then Edit, then Add Control. Choose the reading, then the kind of control:

Controls snap to a four-column grid. Drag to move one (it will not land on another); tap to rename it, widen it, change its step size, states, colour or card style, or delete it. Nothing talks to the device in Edit mode. Tap Done to go live.
Give the control that stops the pump a red card and leave the temperature readouts plain. With gloves on, at arm's length, colour is what you see first.
Using it
Live, the top line reports the connection honestly: Online with the time of the last reply, or No response from device — and when the device stops answering, the values grey out instead of sitting there looking current. Refresh re-reads everything. Controls that write need Write mode on, exactly like the rest of the app; until then the remote is read-only and says so. Free, and kept
Custom remotes in Easy Modbus are free and are not deleted. They are stored on the phone only, under the device they belong to, and are not backed up to the cloud — a saved remote names a customer's equipment and registers, and that should not leave the phone by accident.
